The energy transition is accelerating the deployment of photovoltaic installations, wind farms, and high-voltage transmission networks across increasingly remote and demanding terrain. Maintaining these assets at peak output requires regular, granular inspection — and traditional methods involving rope access, elevated platforms, or manual ground patrols are slow, expensive, and hazardous.

Thermal imaging drones can survey a solar farm of several thousand modules in a single flight, identifying faulty cells, shading anomalies, soiled panels, and bypass diode failures with a precision that no ground-based technician can match.

Wind turbine blades are assessed at close range for surface erosion, delamination, leading-edge damage, and lightning strike marks — findings that feed directly into predictive maintenance schedules and extend asset life. Power line inspections cover hundreds of kilometres of conductor, pylon, and insulator in a fraction of the time required by helicopter patrols, at lower cost and with a richer data output.
